About Us

Cheng & Co, Chartered Accountants, was incorporated in early 1993 and registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. In the same year of its incorporation, Cheng & Co. acquired an established firm, and with that merger the firm staffed with only three (3) audit executives besides the two (2) founders commenced business in earnest by providing professional audit and tax services. Since then Cheng & Co. had expanded progressively from1997 by merging and acquiring five other local member firms. The most recent merger was with a firm in Terengganu in year 2010.

Since our beginnings, substantial changes have taken place in all sectors of businesses ie manufacturing, services, and trading industries; and in addition globalization and liberalization, regionally and globally, have become a reality.

In keeping pace with changes and to meet the needs of the clients, Cheng & Co. has established one-stop professional center at all our branches. We provide a full range of professional business services from the audit, tax and secretarial businesses to unique services such as Halal Consulting and Document Warehousing. A dedicated Customer Service Centre has also been established last year at our Headquarters to serve our customers better. The Customer Service Centre offer business office services in addition to serving the needs of our professional services customers.

Cheng & Co. currently has offices in Ipoh, Melaka, Batu Pahat, Johor Bahru, Terengganu. Our international branches are in Shenzhen,China where we serve Hong Kong and offshore clients, Perth, Australia and Singapore.

With the increase in providing various professional services by its Group of companies, the workforce beginning with three (3) in 1993 has now increased to one hundred and fifty (150). We have more than 20 qualified Chartered Accountants working together in the firm.

Cheng & Co. have developed and expanded over the year since 1993 and the trend is likely to continue to provide opportunities for staff to grow to provide better and more effective and efficient professional services to clients.
